Creativity is used as the foundation for learning and teaching across the whole school curriculum and with this approach we foster and support every child through personalised learning journeys.
We encourage both staff and pupils to take risks and to be innovative using state of the art technologies.
We want our pupils to have the confidence to ask questions and develop skills they can use across all subject areas.
We see them working both independently and as a team and ultimately we want our pupils to find learning at our Academy irresistible!
We teach through themes and they are all based around a question. We work in collaboration with the children to plan a theme that is of interest to them.
We have a strong link with literature and use lots of books to support our themes and foster a love of reading throughout all of our children.
We also love to do our learning both indoors and outdoors and have Forest Schools sessions to enrich our learning. On a Friday afternoon we condense our timetable and work on activities to support our character traits that we have chosen such as resilience, teamwork and also work that supports our local communities and our involvement in the national #iwill campaign.
