The Local Academy Committee

The Local Academy Committee at Star Academy Sandyford is made up of dedicated members of the local community, staff and parents. Their role is to learn about the work of the academy and provide both challenge and support to ensure that strategies to raise standards and improve performance are delivering the promised impact. Governors also review a range of fundamental areas, including safeguarding, finances, resourcing, community engagement and provisions for health and safety.

Our governors are:

  Mr Tom Beecham (community) Academy Committee, Personal Development, Pupil Premium governor, pay committee and appeals. 
  Mrs Rachel Bithell (Staff) Academy Committee Early Years Foundation Stage
